When you first open your Hourglass Candle, it is important to read the safety instructions on the base of the candle or on the thank you card.

We advise that before every burn to always trim the wick. The wick only needs to be approximately 6mm in length.

Ensure you burn your candle on a stable and heat resistant surface.

If you're burning more than one candle at a time, leave at least 10cm between candles.

Burn your Hourglass Candle for a minimum of an hour to prevent tunnelling, as the candle is made from soy wax which does retain a memory. This will ensure your wax pool reaches the edge of the glass on each burn.

Do not burn for longer than four hours.

To extinguish your candle, use a snuffer or gently blow it out, do not use a liquid.

When there is just 10mm of wax left above the wick, extinguish it and upcycle it. We do not recommend that you continue to light your candle below this level.

You may reuse the candle glass by carefully cleaning it with warm soapy water to remove any residual wax. They make for a great vase, or may be used as a jar for cosmetic brushes or cotton buds or even beneath the sink with your cleaning utensils.
